"Close The Door Behind You"

How many times have you heard that from your parents when you were a child? In Our Christian life, this is STILL GREAT ADVICE!

When one door closes and another opens, we spent way to much time looking at the close door, that we do not see the new door God has opened for us. We tend to beat our heads against a wall, without realizing there is an opportunity to better our situation.

Many claim they have faith, but never allow their faith to run their lives. They hang on to a lost battle, and keep worrying about the outcome. If they had REALLY allowed God to control their decisions, they would not have any reason to worry! If your child asked for food to eat, would you give them a stone? Of course not, and Our Heavenly Father would not do that to us either. However, when my children leave me out of their decisions, I sit back and watch them, just so they will learn a lesson. I am come still there for them, but I have seen them fail due to poor planning, and an endless other reasons. I will help them, when they come to me, but I must allow them to have their free-will.

The Word of God states we should be as children to Our Heavenly Father. CHILDREN, not teenagers! I say this, because I have been heard to say, "I wish I was as smart as my 6  year old thinks I am, but glad I am not as stupid as my 15 year old thinks I am" We should KNOW where to go for advice, wisdom, guidance, encouragement, Agape Love, strength, and direction. Our Heavenly Father gives us ALL these things. (No wonder I worship Him!)

So I guess the best advice a Pastor can really give a person that needs any of the many gifts Our Heavenly Father has to offer, is just to PUSH, and the problem will become a lesson.

I know I am right, but does that make you wrong?

Todays message is about the best way to remain strong in the face of stressful situations. Many accept stress as if it were a personal attack from the human realm. We must remember that stress is more than an attack on our Spiritual / Physical health. Stress also takes more than years of emotional enjoyment from us. It also takes the joys we were intended to have in the present.

Many have not learned to "Let It Go."  Example: Would you pay twenty dollars for a bag of French fries? That would be foolish! Yet many are ready and willing to argue a point for days, without any true value to us at all! However, the stress that it causes, has a residual effect on our mental and physical health. We "pay" way  to much, for way to little!

I was once told to "Chose Your Battles."  I thought it was more important to"Win" a Battle, than to just "Let it Go." As I look in the mirror today, and see the "Battle Scares" under my eyes, and the "Service Stripes" on my face, I realize how petty those arguments were. I won ALL the Battles, but still lost the war!

I  have found the BEST way to "Let it Go," and still win, was to set my importance of the situation. I think  many people KNOW they are wrong, but will still argue the point, just out of personal pride! I had to learn the only person that had to know I was correct... Was me! The person that was WRONG, did not need to know they were wrong!

"Chose Your Battles"... This means that unless it is going to effect a persons Spiritual or Physical health, Safety, or Reputation, just let it go!

Do not confuse "Opinion" with "Fact." Everyone has a right to their own WRONG opinion! (smile) LET IT GO! It is not worth the stress it will cause on your heart and a relationship with the person...

If you carry hard feelings for an argument, it also effects your relationship you have with Our Heavenly Father. The Holy Spirit that is within all of God's children, can not remain in a vessel that is "unclean" We are to remain "Pure in Heart" To be a Christian, means to be Christ-like. Scripture tells us not to argue with a fellow Child of God's. We are told not to cause them to stumble, or place stumbling blocks in their paths.

The Map to Heaven

Last week I called my son (Bobby Joe) in Port Orange, Florida, and told him I would be in Florida soon. and I needed directions to his home. He asked me if I knew how to get to Daytona Beach. I told him "sure", so from that point of reference, he gave me the exact directions to his home. He told me of things to look out for, as I might get lost if I did not pay close attention. He said it was strange for him to be telling ME what to do... I told him I was not stupid, I had never been to his house before, so it only made sense to listen to his every word...
This might sound like an everyday event to you...so let me get to the point... I have never been to Heaven before either! Only Our Savior has ever been there, and came here to give us the directions to get there!

Too many people want to tell us how THEY think you get to Heaven... Unless they have a map to get there, I think I will listen to people that DO have "The Map"  Jesus states NONE get to Heaven, except through Him. He also tells us of the things to be careful of, so we do not become lost in our trip. Let The Holy Bible be your road map to Our Heavenly Home...

Have a great Year, and stay in prayer... God answers all "Knee" mail...

Half Stressed, Twice Blessed

Our Heavenly Father teaches us to look at our life in the flesh, to understand many of the things we are to learn in The Spirit. Many of you have read this throughout the many messages posted by this ministry. Today, I want to look at the way they placed those "at rest" in their tombs. Reading the description of the preparation, I could not help but think of, a cocoon...

John 19:40 40Taking Jesus' body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen. This was in accordance with Jewish burial customs.

John 20:6-7 6Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, 7as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen.

When I see a caterpillar, I see one little ugly bug! But when it goes into it's cocoon, and "sleeps", it it transformed into a beautiful animal that can fly! It is NOTHING like the animal that went into the cocoon!

I do not understand why people can accept the Caterpillar / Butterfly, yet have doubt in our own transformation! Our Heavenly Father provides things like this in our life to educate us. He has provided an example for us, yet we fail to see them. Brothers and Sisters, I ask you to take the time to LOOK for the messages Abba Father places in your path daily. In this manner , you will be half stressed, and twice blessed.

Part Time Christians
The tongue speaks what the heart feels. I have heard people say things like "You can not talk like that in church" or put  on a "different  face" when a member of the church came to visit them. But Our Father saw BOTH of their faces! They may fool me, and they may fool you... But they are NOT fooling the ONLY ONE that REALLY matters!
What does your tongue say about your walk? Do you sometimes say a word that you would NEVER say in a church?  I know that after reading this message, I might get a few members that will ask to leave this ministry... BUT I WILL BE DOING THE JOB I  NEED TO DO! We all need our toes to be stepped on, to keep us on the correct path. This message is not to judge you, but to allow you to judge yourself!  If I was walking down a path that had quick sand on it, I would want to be warned! If you are one of those that "slip", then pray for more strength from Abba, and send a quick prayer to say "Forgive me Heavenly Father, I am also part human, help me clean the inside of my cup, and to be a better child of Yours".
One last comment, when a child of OURS comes to US, and says "I messed up and need your help." What do you think about first? Helping them, or punishing them? (smile) Bring All your problems to Abba Father, there are none so big, or to little for Him to listen to or handle.

Matthew 23:25-28   25"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. 26Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.  27"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean. 28In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness

Luke 38-40   38But the Pharisee, noticing that Jesus did not first wash before the meal, was surprised. 39Then the Lord said to him, "Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. 40You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also?
Matthew 12:33-37  33 "Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. 34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. 36 But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."
John 3: 36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

Some are NOT Chosen.

We are taught in church to live as Christ lived. We are taught to love our brother, (and sister) in Christ.

However, In the world today...

We are judged by those that are NOT our Brothers and Sisters. They are quick to tell us if we do not "live up" to what THEY feel we should be doing. To be honest, I do not care WHAT the world thinks about me! It is what Our Heavenly Father thinks about me that REALLY counts!

The world is so quick to "cherry pick" the scriptures, and tell me how I am to allow them to "run over" me, to "turn my other cheek", and to "give all I have" to them. Well... If they WERE my Brother or Sister, they would have a point. But till they "accept the terms" of Salvation, they have as much claim to the "perks" of being my Brother or Sister in Christ, as they do to the  claim to Heaven!

We are to show them our love for Our Savior. We are to show them our Love for Our Heavenly Father, we are to show them the love for our Brothers and Sisters. We are to help those that have the desire to be reborn in the Spirit of God, and to BECOME a Brother or Sister. We are NOT to seek revenge on those that have wronged us. (This, Our Father will do) For the things do not matter...(Things of the world), we turn the other cheek.

Jesus Christ did NOT say "Will you gentlemen please leave the tabernacle, it is not a place to sell your wares". He turned over their tables, he took out a whip, and took care of business! He knew they were not His Brothers! He did not say "perhaps if I am nice to them, I will teach them the error of their ways". Jesus looked straight into their hearts, and saw they were evil, and of the Evil One! They wanted to USE the tabernacle for their own gain, and not for the worship Our Heavenly Father. Our Heavenly Father knows His children, and He allows us to recognize those that are either His now, or predestined to become His.  1John 2:19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.

Revelation 17:14
They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers."

We are chosen to: (A) find those brothers and sisters that have not yet found their path, and (B) to find those that have strayed from the path. James 5:19-20  19 My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins. We need to remember we are in this world, but NOT to be OF this world. Help your FELLOW CHRISTIAN. Allow The Holy Spirit to show you those that are predestined to be a sibling of Our Christian Family. The following scripture shows why we are to give each of our brothers / sisters strength.
Romans 8:29-30 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

Ephesians 1:4-6  4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.

1 Corinthians 2:14-15
14The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

15 The spiritual man makes  judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:

2 Peter 3:3-4  3 First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."

Matthew 10:14
If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.
Matthew 10:13-15

Mark 6:11
And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave, as a testimony against them."
Mark 6:10-12

Luke 9:5
If people do not welcome you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave their town, as a testimony against them."

"It is not good for man to be alone"

When we read this, many think about marriage and the Mindset of Our Heavenly Father when He made Eve for Adam... Today we will learn that it went much farther than that. Loneliness is a condition that we are to avoid. It will cause a person to grieve and consume us both in a physical and a spiritual form.

Both our Spiritual Body and our Physical body are independent and interdependent. They both need others in order to function as intended. The importance of fellowship are explained by Jesus, when He went to visit Martha and Mary. As Martha complained about all she was doing (without Mary's help), Jesus told her that it was Mary that was doing what was needed.

Luke 10:38-42  38As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. 40But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!"  41"Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, 42but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."

A true fellowship takes TRUST, a way of acknowledging a bond between people. Our Heavenly Father uses FREEWILL as a means to show His trust in His Children. I am sure we have all heard the expression "If you love someone, set them free, if they return, they are yours. If they do NOT return, then they never were yours." This expression makes so much sense, because it is BASED on Scripture in Our Bible. 1John 2:19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.

Many of the members of SalvationFirst Ministry, are alone... But not lonely! As long as you have "family" that cares about you, then you are never really "ALONE" You  should know that SalvationFirst currently has over 1,000 members. With that many brothers and sisters praying for your problems, we have POWER to get our prayers past our foreheads! We are NEVER alone!

When a spouse left you, you were not alone!
When a son or daughter went to Middle East, They (and you) were not alone!
When you could not get out of bed to attend church, you were not alone!
When The Adversary attacked your finances, you were not alone!
When you are driving down Interstate 75, miles from your family, you are not alone!
When your children are away in collage, you are not alone!
As long as you have Jesus Christ, Our Heavenly Father, and The Holy Spirit... YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

We should remember The Family we are a part of, we are NEVER apart from! When we pray for each other, we show Our Heavenly Father we are HIS FAMILY. We share His LOVE for us, when we pray for each other... When our children share tender moments with each other, it warms OUR HEARTS. It is in this same manner we show Our LOVE for Abba Father... Pray for me, and YOU will not be alone!

The strangest thing about the day "I Left Hell", was it took me so long to realize I was even in Hell! I walked right through the "Gates of Hell", and never felt any fear. In fact I felt as strong as Samson! Then one day I read the story about Samson... THE REAL STORY!
I read that Samson NEVER KNEW God was NOT with him on the day he awoke with his "hair cut". Just as he did not notice his hair was no longer there, he did not notice his God was also no longer there!
Judges 16:20 Then she called, "Samson, the Philistines are upon you!" He awoke from his sleep and thought, "I'll go out as before and shake myself free." But he did not know that the LORD had left him.
It was later, when Samson prayed to God, that his strength was returned. But HE had to return to the relationship he had with Abba Father first! This story opened up my eyes to how easy we backslide to a state where we are no longer in the presence of Our Almighty God! Do you still feel the FULL  strength of The Holy Spirit in YOUR life?We must keep "The inside of our bowl clean", in order to have a place for the Holy Spirit to live within us. We can not force the Holy Spirit to live in a "Getto Based Heart"
I know we are lucky that God never really leaves us, it is us that leave Him! My Heavenly Father was right where I left Him... Waiting on me to return to His Loving Arms! When we return to Him, the Holy Spirit has an environment to thrive in.
Then I read other stories in the Bible, they made me cry with joy! I read about The Prodigal Son. And how his father also waited for his child to return. Again I also noticed the man had to RETURN to the Father. The Father waited for his son, but he also did not go after his son... The Father was right where his son left him!
My Heavenly Father is a GREAT example on what a REAL Father should be. I hope my children would also know that I will also be right where they left me... Waiting on their return to my arms, and seeing the pain I would go through without their company. I pray they would see the strength they would be giving up, if they decided to "go it alone", rather than as a family!
