Come to the Water
With Jesus, no waters are too rough, or too turbulent. He calms the waters. The meaning behind this passage is clear... There are times we are caste into a situation, we wonder how we will ever be able to handle. The answer is not HOW, but rather, with WHO we will handle it with!
When you come to Jesus, to "calm" the problems in your life, have you shown Jesus, you have FAITH in Him. Prayer time is not just a time to bless your food, Prayer time IS the food needed you feed the Holy Spirit that lives within you. I see more people talking to themselves, than I do praying to Our Heavenly Father. How often do you "call home" to talk to Our Heavenly Father? Jesus requires fellowship with us. this was told to us in Luke 10:38-42
Luke 10:38-42 38As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. 40But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!" 41"Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, 42but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."
So, as you take time to do the things required of you in everyday life, remember the Heavenly Father and His Son. They gave you life and want to give you life in abundance.
